Who are we?

We are a local group of Christians living in Weymouth and Portland, Dorset, UK who have found a friendly and informal place to worship God and experience his presence.

We are seeking to live out and enjoy what the Bible teaches about being a Christian.

Why Family Church?

To us "church" means people in relationship with God and one another.

We are children and adults of all ages and backgrounds who are seeking to serve God through love, support and commitment to one another, just as the Bible teaches.

What do we believe?

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as our Living Saviour, who died on the cross for our sins and rose again. Along with other Christians churches in town we want to make Jesus know for who He is and what He can do in our lives.

We believe that the Bible is God's word and vital for today. We believe in the Holy Spirit and seek His presence in our meetings and his guidance and help for everyday living.

Our aims

We aim to serve our local community whenever and wherever we can, through a growing number of relevant activities.

Weymouth Family Church belongs to a wider family of churches called Newfrontiers. Along with them and many other Christian churches we want to see people becoming Christians, maturing in their relationship with God and reaching out with the good news about Jesus.
